A century of service to the La Crosse area
On March 1, 1919, Quincy H. Hale began his long and distinguished career in the practice of law in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Mr. Hale shared an office with two other attorneys who had an established practice in La Crosse and was allowed to use their law library, but received no salary for his efforts. From these humble beginnings, Quincy Hale created a law practice that prospered and grew into the firm of Hale, Skemp, Hanson, Skemp & Sleik, now celebrating its 100th year.
For many decades, Hale, Skemp, Hanson, Skemp & Sleik has been a leader in the legal profession in La Crosse. Its attorneys have handled many important matters in the State and Federal Courts of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and other jurisdictions and have argued cases before the United States Supreme Court and the United States Circuit Court Court of Appeals.
